Health Check-up Guide

    • Please check the contents of the package.
    • Please avoid overworking and drinking alcoholic beverages 2 to 3 days before the exam day.
    • Patients undergoing sedation endoscopy can use public transportation or should be accompanied by a responsible adult who can drive them home after the examination

    What to bring

    • Questionnaires, Stool sample
  • The day before the exam

    • Have a light, non-greasy and non-oily dinner before 6:00 pm and fast from midnight (at least 8 hours of fasting).
      Please refrain from consuming water, chewing gum, and smoking tobacco from 9pm.
      If you take get a colonoscopy, please follow the colonoscopy information.
    • Please refrain from heavy drinking, overworking and exercising, and get enough sleep.
    • Please collect your stool sample (5g ; the size of a kidney bean) using the container, bring it with you on the exam day.
    • Please fill out the medical questionnaires and bring it with you on the exam day.

    On the exam day

    • Do not eat or drink in the morning of the exam day (no water, no gum, no smoking).
    • Light activities or brushing teeth is allowed.
    • You may have few sips of water with any necessary medications early in the morning.
    • You may wear glasses or contact lens during the exam.
    • Do not bring any valuables (necklace, earrings, ring, etc).
    • If you take antithrombotics, antihypertensive drugs, diabetes medicine, etc., consult with your physician about withholding the medication.
    • It is advised to book your appointment around 7 days after your last day of menstruation for more accurate cervical pap smear and urine test.
    • If you are pregnant or think you might be, tell the staff before the test.
    • For 48~72 hours before the Pap Smear test (for early diagnosis of cervical cancer), avoid intercourse, vaginal cream or tablets.

      Please refrain from consuming water, chewing gum, and smoking tobacco from 9:00 pm.
      Note: who previously had a gastric surgery may only have plain water after lunch on the day before and nothing to drink after midnight.
